John Krasinski’s ‘A Quiet Place 2’ hitting theaters earlier than expected

The sequel to the popular horror movie, A Quiet Place 2 surprises fans with a closer release date.

John Krasinski has announced a new release date for his repeatedly-delayed horror movie A Quiet Place 2. This upcoming sequel movie is hitting theaters on Memorial Day, May 28th, 2021.

“They always say good things come to those who wait”, Krasinski said, understandable for the audience who has been waiting for the movie to be released since the first announced release date, March 2020. Because of the pandemic, the sequel to A Quiet Place was one of the first productions to be delayed, and it was due to come out in September 2020. Back for more, A Quiet Place 2 was delayed yet again, this time an entire year, to September 2021. Luckily, its release date now has been taken forward. A Quiet Place 2 is finally meeting with cinephiles on May 28.

What we know about ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ movie?

The movie stars Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds, Djimon Hounsou, and Cillian Murphy. A Quiet Place Part II is both written and directed by The Office’s Jim, John Krasinski, who directed the first movie as well. A third movie for the franchise is underway as well, which is to be directed by Jeff Nichols. You can watch the trailer for A Quiet Place 2 below.

The decision to take the release date forward is after the launch of Paramount+, the rebranding of ViacomCBS’s CBS All Access service. They announced that high-profile movies like Mission Impossible 7, No Time To Die, and A Quiet Place Part II would be released there, 45 days after hitting theaters. So we can expect A Quiet Place Part II to be released in Paramount+ around early July, although an official announcement for the release date there is yet to be made.
