This anime movie is a globally licensed Netflix Original Japanese movie, directed by Ayumu Watanabe and produced by Eiko Tanaka. The series also produced by ‘Studio 4 °C’ and based on the same titles Daisuke Igarashi’s manga. Also, Children of the Sea his first animated movie adaptation screenplay with Hanasaki Kino.

The series follows a young girl character Azumi Ruka is drawn into a mystery involving sea life around the world, in which two mysterious boys are somehow involved.

What’s the synopsis of the ‘Children of the Sea’ movie?

Here’s the official synopsis:

“Azumi Ruka is a young girl whose parents are separated and whose father works in an aquarium. When two boys, Umi and Sora, who were raised in the sea by dugongs, are brought to the aquarium.

Ruka feels drawn to them and begins to realize that she has the same sort of supernatural connection to the ocean that they do. Umi and Sora’s special power seems to be connected to strange events that have been occurring more and more frequently. This power such as the appearance of sea creatures far from their home territory and the disappearance of aquarium animals around the world.”
