Lzzy Hale is the vocalist and songwriter for the HALESTORM band. She recently spoke to “The MetalSucks Podcast”. She talked about the pandemic process, concerts, and their new album.

They practiced every day of the tour and work on the album, Lzzy compared this process to a puzzle; “It’s very much like having this thousand-piece puzzle, and you dump it all out. And you’re, like, ‘Okay, I know it all goes together’, ‘but I don’t know what the picture is yet.”
She said that they have gathered their work together in the past weeks and entered the studio. Also said they were working hard for 14 hours a day: “We go in and we’re, like, ‘All right. It’s almost 11 o’clock. We probably should go home and get some sleep, so we can come and do it all over again.”

She believes that working without pressure, without a concert schedule makes her more comfortable and free. Lzzy said that she has been coming home from work every day for 15 years but it changed now. She turned this pandemic in her favor. In 2012, Lzzy became the first woman to win a Grammy in this category. In 2018, the band won the “Best Rock Performance” Grammy Award with the “Uncomfortable” song.
It would be nice to have your information straight. They didn’t win a grammy in 2018 for “Uncomfortable”.
Consistency in Lzzy’s name is also a good thing.
