SYSTEM OF A DOWN’s Guitarist Daron Malakian on New Album: “It’s a Shame”
SYSTEM OF A DOWN‘s guitarist Daron Malakian on new album blocking, “It’s a shame”. He also added, “That certain thing can’t come together to make a new album happen.”
In last week SOAD released the new 2 single after their follow-up to 2005’s standalone “Hypnotize” album. They also support the Republic of Artsakh, with these ‘Protect The Land’ and ‘Genocidal Humanoidz’ tracks.
The band also shared the statement, “These two songs, ‘Protect the Land’ and ‘Genocidal Humanoidz,’ both speak of a dire and serious war being perpetrated upon our cultural homelands of Artsakh and Armenia.”
During an interview with BBC Radio 6 Music‘s Matt Everitt show. Daron Malakian talked about the, “When new SYSTEM OF A DOWN album coming?”:
“It’s not that simple, I guess. I wish it was. It should be; it should be. But it gets a little bit more complicated than that. I don’t wanna get into, like, ‘Well, it’s this person and that person.
We did these new songs for a noble reason, and we did this for the right reasons. We didn’t make any money off this. It was totally for the noble reason of our country needs us.
We did do these two songs in a really comfortable, smooth. Everyone got along. It was cool. I personally do walk away and say, it’s a shame that certain things can’t come together to make a new album happen.”
This is the equivalent of releasing a bad game, and be able to fix it years later. Honestly his “vision” would’ve still been bad if released back then same with his extended BvS. DC deserves better.
