Netflix has released the first trailer for The King film starring Timothée Chalamet in the lead role.
This film based on the literary icon William Shakespeare‘s plays Henry IV Part 1, Henry Part 2, and Henry V. The King is a modern-day Shakespearean adaptation with writers Joel Edgerton, David Michôd. In this film follows a story about Hal is the wayward prince and heir to the English throne. He is crowned King Henry V after his tyrannical father dies. However, in this first trailer opens with slow scenes shows us the atmosphere of this upcoming film.

Here’s the official synopsis:
“Hal, the wayward prince, and reluctant heir to the English throne has turned his back on royal life. Also, he is living among people. But when his tyrannical father dies, Hal is crowned King Henry V and is forced to embrace life. He had previously tried to escape. Now the young king must navigate the palace politics, chaos and war his father left behind, and the emotional strings of his past life – including his relationship with his closest friend and mentor, the aging alcoholic knight, John Falstaff.” The main cast also includes Timothée Chalamet, Joel Edgerton, Robert Pattinson, Ben Mendelsohn, Sean Harris, Lily-Rose Depp, Tom Glynn-Carney, Thomasin McKenzie, and Dean-Charles Chapman. This film will a limited release in select theatres on the 11th of October. After that, The King will premiere on Netflix on November 1, 2019.
