A New Live-Action Series from Hunter X Hunter’s Producer is Coming to Netflix

Yoshihiro Togashi’s classic manga series “Yu Yu Hakusho” is coming to Netflix as live-action! Previously, the English dubbing of the Anime arrived in North America in February 2002. However, but it was broadcast on television for only 3 months.

The announcement made from the Netflix social media account was as follows; “When Yusuke dies saving another’s life, he’ll embark on a journey across the world of humans, spirits, and demons to return to the land of the living. Yoshihiro Togashi’s legendary manga Yu Yu Hakusho will be a live-action series on Netflix!

What is ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’  about?

Synopsis: 14-year-old Yusuke Urameshi, who lives with his alcoholic mother, is a school vagrant. He fights with everyone, and all his teachers hate him, except for the school principal. His only friend is Keiko Yukimura. All gangs in the neighborhood attack Yusuke. Kazuma Kuwabara, in particular, always confronts Yuusuke but is unable to win a fight. One day on the road, while trying to rescue a little boy from the car coming quickly, he dies when the car hits him. Botan, who is in charge of taking the dead souls to the “Spirit Realm” (Spirit Realm or Reikai), tells him that he died ahead of time. Koenma, son of the king of the spirit realm, tells him there is a way to return. Yusuke, who regains his body after wandering as a ghost for a while, awaits a new mission. He has acquired a new power and it is now his duty to stop creatures from the dimension of demons (Makai or Demon Realm). Because now he is a Spirit Detective.

What Do We Know About Yoshihiro Togashi?

Actually, there are 2 big projects in Yoshihiro’s career and both are legends. The first is “Yu Yu Hakusho” which will be released on Netflix, the other is Hunter X Hunter, which started to be published in 1998. You can also access the Hunter X Hunter series on Netflix.
