Ayrton Senna mini-series coming to Netflix. Netflix has announced a brand new biographic drama series on the life and career of a Formula 1 legendary driver.
After Formula 1: Drive to Survive success on the platform. Netflix focuses on a new project for motor-sports. This upcoming biographic documentary series based on the life of Ayrton Senna da Silva (1960-1994). The Brazilian legendary driver who won the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship three times before he passed away. This new eight-episode mini-series will follow Ayrton Senna‘s personality and family life.
What’s the synopsis of the Ayrton Senna mini-series?
There’s no official synopsis yet. However according to the Formula 1 official website:
“The mini-series focuses on the driver’s family life, will chart the Brazilian legend journey, from his arrival in England for his first season of Formula Ford 1600 all the way through to his tragic death at Imola during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.”
Also, the series produced by Gullane (The Traitor) and he says:
“It is very special to be able to announce that we will tell the story that only a few people know about him. The Senna family is committed to making this project something totally unique and unprecedented. And no one better than Netflix, that has a global reach, to be our partner,” said Viviane Senna, Ayrton’s sister.

When is the Netflix release date of the Ayrton Senna mini-series?
There’s no certain release date but we know the release year. ‘Ayrton Senna‘ mini-series will release on Netflix in 2022.
Also, Netflix’s director of original international productions Maria Angela de Jesus talks about the series:
