The 10 Best Becky G Songs of All-Time

Becky G

In 2011, Becky G started posting songs of herself singing covers on YouTube. After grabbing the attention of Dr. Luke, the singer found herself with a record deal, a small army of willing collaborators like will.i.am, Cher Lloyd and Cody Simpson, and, before long, a growing collection of hits. Having already established herself as one of the biggest players in the Latin music segment, her career’s about to get even bigger with the release of her upcoming second album. Here’s our pick of the 10 best Becky G songs of all time.

10. Sin Pijama (with Natti Natasha)

Up first is Sin Pijama, a collaboration with Dominican singer Natti Natasha taken from Becky G’s debut album, Mala Santa. With its heavy reggaeton influence, catchy, provocative rhythms, and sensual beats, it gave the duo a major hit in the spring of 2018, taking them to number 4 on the US Hot Latin Songs chart and storming the top ten across Bolivia, Chile, El Salvador, Spain, and numerous other countries. Since its release, it’s been certified a staggering 38-times Latin Platinum.

9. Mamiii (with Karol G)

Becky G’s second studio album might not have dropped yet, but she’s already given us a few little tasters of what to expect. In February 2022, she released the third single from the album, Mamii. Recorded as a collaboration with Colombian singer Karol G (their first time together since 2018’s Mi Mala), Mamii gave both singers one of their biggest hits on the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 15. It also topped the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and entered the top ten across multiple Latin American countries. Within just a month of its release, it had already certified 5× Latin Platinum.

8. Oath (with Cher Lloyd)

In 2012, Becky G teamed up with Cher Lloyd for Oath. Released in October 2012, the song, which was produced by Dr. Luke and Cirkut, became an international hit, reaching the top 20 in New Zealand and the top 40 on the US Mainstream Top 40 chart. It’s since certified Gold in both countries.

7. Mayores (with Bad Bunny)

In July 2017, Becky G earned one of the biggest hits of her career with Mayores, a collaboration with Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny. In addition to scoring a top 5 hit on the US Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, it also topped the charts in multiple other countries, including Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Panama, Romania, and Spain. Since then, it’s picked up over a billion views on YouTube and been certified 11× Latin Platinum in the US.

6. Break a Sweat

Producer Dr. Luke originally intended to give Break a Sweat to Demi Lovato, but after the pair reportedly fell out, he offered it to Becky G instead. Released in August 2015, the song hit number 36 on the US Billboard Mainstream Top 40. At the 2016 Teen Choice Awards, it picked up a nomination for Choice Music: Party Song.

5. Can’t Stop Dancing

Following directly in the footsteps of the super successful single Shower came this next track. Released as the second single from Becky G’s debut album, Can’t Stop Dancing is a Latin-infused banger, with a massive hook and a super catchy chorus. True to its title, it’s a guaranteed floor filler. Although it didn’t match up to the phenomenal success of Shower, it was still a moderate hit, reaching number 40 on the US Billboard Pop Songs and 98 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

4. Can’t Get Enough (with Pitbull)

Released as the second single to Becky G’s EP, Play It Again, the irresistibly catchy Can’t Get Enough found the singer teaming up with Pitbull for a rap/pop/ techno mash-up. Originally released as an English version in July 2013, it took the duo to number one on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart and number 10 on Billboard’s Latin Songs chart. Shortly after, Becky G released a Spanish version (although Pitbull stuck to English for his parts), which charted at number 10 on the Billboard Latin Songs Chart.

3. Play It Again

As heavy.com says, Play it Again was Becky G’s first introduction to people who weren’t already familiar with her through YouTube. Released in 2013 as the first single from her EP of the same name, it set the groundwork for everything that came after with its upbeat, danceable rhythms and catchy chorus. The helping hand of an all-star lineup of producers and writers (Pitbull, the Jam, the Cataracs, and will.i.am.) didn’t exactly hurt either.

2. Shower

If any song can take credit for catapulting Becky G into the mainstream, it’s Shower, a candy-sweet pop/rap confection about the joys of first love. Described by Time as “such a seasonally appropriate sugar rush that it’s borderline preposterous the song hasn’t been a more serious contender for Song of the Summer,” the song became her first major success, climbing to number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on the US Heatseekers chart.

1. Becky From The Block

In at number one on our list of the 10 best Becky G songs of all time is Becky From The Block, a high-energy sizzler in which Becky G raps out the entire story of her life in just a little over 3 minutes. Released in 2013 as her official debut single, it pays a West Coast homage to Jennifer Lopez’s 2002 smash hit, Jenny from the Block. J-Lo even agreed to make a cameo in the video, telling Access Hollywood “I heard it and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s so cute.’ It was really adorable.” Bright, breezy, and inescapably catchy, it’s the quintessential Becky G song.
