Chris Cornell Net Worth, Biography, Life, Cars and Mansions

Chris Cornell’s net worth will surprise you. Would you like to learn about SOUNDGARDEN and AUDIOSLAVE’s legendary frontman and his net worth/fortune? Chris Cornell, the full name Christopher John Cornell, was born in Seattle in 1964 and tragically passed away in 2017. Before saying goodbye to us, Chris Cornell is a highly successful singer, songwriter, and musician, best known as SOUNDGARDEN and AUDIOSLAVE‘s frontman. Chris’s childhood was in Seattle, Washington, and he had a rather depressing childhood.

Edward F. Boyle, whose father was a Catholic of Irish descent, was Karen Cornell, whose mother was Jewish. Chris’s problems started in the family, and after his parents’ divorce, he took his mother’s last name because he was closer to his mother. The thing that changed Chris’s life was his introduction to music, but the process started with a problem. He went to Christ the King, a Catholic elementary school with her sister, and performed there for the first time in front of the crowd. However, Chris and his sister were taken out of school by his mother because she thought they would have trouble in Catholic elementary.

Chris told those days in an interview in 1994: “With a religion like that, it’s not designed for anyone to question. Being young people who have a natural curiosity and half a brain, you’re going to start finding inconsistencies, which there are tons of in organized religion. We both sort of made it clear in classroom situations that we didn’t get it. ‘Explain this to me.’ And they couldn’t, so we started creating a lot of problems.

Cornell’s encounter with “real music” that will change his life was through The Beatles. The Beatles album, which he found in a basement, befriended his loneliness. He started struggling with depression by listening to rock music, and in 1984, Kim Thayil formed the band SOUNDGARDEN with Hiro Yamamoto. Together with the band Soundgarden, they became one of the pioneers of American grunge music. In addition, the artist who achieved success with AUDIOSLAVE and TEMPLE OF THE DOG bands made music for films.

Cornell, who struggled with depression all his life, committed suicide by hanging himself in his hotel room in Detroit after the SOUNDGARDEN concert on May 18, 2017.
