Ghostbusters 2020 is officially wrapping the filming and the director celebrated with another on-set photo with the lead cast.
After 68 days wrapping the upcoming sequel for Jason Reitman-directed Ghostbusters. Also, the filmmaker shares a new on-set photo of the newest incarnation that acts a the third canonized film in the series. Jason Reitman is directing from a script he co-wrote, with his father Ivan Reitman — who directed Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II. This new film follows the original classic, centers on a family that moves back home to a small town where they learn more about who they are.
Who will cast in Ghostbusters 2020?
Dan Aykroyd recently confirms he’ll be appearing in with Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson returning to their roles. Also, the new cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon, Celeste O’Connor, and Logan Kim.
We don’t know the official synopsis but the story will be an extension of the original storyline and will focus on a single mom and her family. Also, Carrie Coon playing the mom and Wolfhard playing her son.
What’s the original synopsis for the first Ghostbusters?
After the members of a team of scientists (Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray) lose their cushy positions at a university in New York City, they decide to become “ghostbusters” to wage a high-tech battle with the supernatural for money. They stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, a doorway that will release evil upon the city. The Ghostbusters must now save New York from complete destruction.
