Is there going to be another season of Netflix anime Great Pretender?
Fans have been waiting for a new season of Netflix anime Great Pretender, but there is yet to be an official announcement about that.
Netflix’s original anime series Great Pretender debuted with its first season in June 2020. A critically acclaimed comedy anime, Great Pretender is written by Ryota Kosawa and directed by Hiro Kaburagi. The anime has been immensely popular both for its striking visuals and being a Netflix original. Therefore, many people are waiting for new installments. There are currently two seasons of Great Pretender on Netflix. The first season has fourteen episodes while the second has nine. The episodes run for 23 minutes.
Is Netflix going to release a new season of Great Pretender?
They released the second season of the anime in November 2020. It has been roughly five months now, but there’s no official indication of a new season. However, they did not rule out the possibility of another season. Actually, the director is interested in making a new season of Great Pretender. In an interview Hiro Kaburagi appeared in, he shared his thoughts. He’s interested in creating a new anime. There’s a possibility of a new Great Pretender season as well.
“If the circumstances allow for it, I am really looking forward to a new anime that’s even better for all of you! Oh, and if you want to see a GP sequel, do be sure to tell your friends and acquaintances about it, so that you can increase the viewer count on Netflix!”
So, another season is probable if more viewers watch the anime on Netflix. The director also shows his interest in making a new anime.
When is Great Pretender season 3 coming?
As the season is not even confirmed yet, we’d have to base our guesses on pure assumptions. It is not that easy to produce a season of an anime. Therefore, if there is not something that’s already done, we’d have to wait until at least 2022. However, we don’t know if they have been doing some extra work despite not announcing.
What is the synopsis of Great Pretender?
The anime is about a scammer and his partner-in-crime. While they were trying to rip somebody off, they encounter one of the best swindlers who also is the leader of the Mafia. Good luck with that!
