Joker 2 coming to DC sequel with Joaquin Phoenix in the works
Joker 2 is most likely coming as a DC sequel with director Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix.
After the Joker success at the worldwide Box Office. Joker is the fourth DC film to cross $1 billion USD in the box office. Behind that 2018’s Aquaman ($1.15 billion USD), 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises ($1.08 billion USD) and 2008’s The Dark Knight ($1 billion USD) all over the world. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. film chief Toby Emmerich has met with writer and director Todd Phillips and co-writer Scott Silver to explore new ideas. In this meeting, they talk for a Joker 2 to the drama about the early days of the Clown Prince of Crime. Also, Joaquin Phoenix backs his role.
Is there going to be a Joker 2 film?
(UPDATE: Deadline reports multiple inside sources are reporting that a sequel to the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. However, there are no plans for Phillips to craft other DC villain origin stories are underway and that an alleged meeting with Warner Bros. film chief Toby Emmerich a week after the film’s release never took place.)
But we can’t sure what’s true or false. We think they want to make a new film. Also, there is still uncertainty about whether it is right to a sequel. If this happens they start production for two years then filming for a 1 year. We may have to wait until 2023.
