10 Things You Didn’t Know about Krayzie Bone
Krayzie Bone is the stage name of Anthony Henderson. Over the course of three decades and counting, he has been a producer, an entrepreneur, and a number of other things. However, Krayzie Bone tends to be best-known for being one of the rappers making up the hip hop group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. Here are 10 things that you may or may not have known about Krayzie Bone.
1. Born in Cleveland, OH
Krayzie Bone was born in the city of Cleveland in the state of Ohio. Said city is named for its founder Moses Cleveland, who rose to the position of a captain in the Corps of Engineers during the American Revolution. It isn’t clear how Cleveland became Cleveland. One line of speculation is that the name was misspelled. However, another line of speculation is that a local newspaper called itself the Cleveland Advertiser because it couldn’t get Cleveland Advertiser to fit on its masthead.
2. Comes From a Family of Jehovah’s Witnesses
Religion-wise, Krayzie Bone came from a fourth generation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In short, they are one of the Christian denominations that emerged from the Bible Student movement that started up in the late 19th century. However, the Jehovah’s Witnesses had a membership of 6 million while the other denominations combined had less than 75,000 by the end of the 20th century, which should make it clear that it is the most popular of those denominations. In any case, the Jehovah’s Witnesses are restorationists, so it should come as no surprise to learn that they have a number of practices that are distinct from those of their more mainstream counterparts.
3. Doesn’t Celebrate Christmas
For instance, Krayzie Bone has confirmed that he doesn’t celebrate Christmas. This in line with the general thinking of Jehovah’s Witnesses, who don’t celebrate any occasions that they believe to have pagan origins that are incompatible with Christianity. The evidence suggests that Christmas wasn’t celebrated by the earliest Christians. Furthermore, there are centuries-old arguments that Christmas was a rebranding of a pagan festival that celebrated Sol Invictus, though it is interesting to note that there are also arguments that it was the other way around. This matter is complicated by the ongoing argument between revisionist scholars who believe that the Romans had a single sun god and traditional scholars who believe that Sol Invictus was a later introduction to the Roman Empire from the east.
4. Believes in the Illuminati
Speaking of which, Krayzie Bone believes in the existence of the Illuminati, which are the subject of a lot of conspiracy theories out there. Historically speaking, the Illuminati refers to the Bavarian Illuminati, a secret society of Enlightenment-era intellectuals with relatively sympathetic goals to most modern people such as opposing superstition and opposing abuses of state power. They and other secret societies in the region winded up being banned by the Elector of Bavaria with support from the Roman Catholic Church. However, it wasn’t too long before people started claiming that the Illuminati had survived, with the result that they were responsible for the French Revolution and other events of note. Nowadays, they are one of the most popular candidates for the secret masters of the world who control everything.
5. Believes in the Devil
In any case, Krayzie Bone’s belief in the Illuminati seems to be connected to his belief in the Devil. As far as he is concerned, the Devil is focused on distracting people so that they will be too busy to do anything about everything that is wrong in the world.
6. Believes that We Are Living in the End Times
Krayzie Bone has also stated that he believes that we are living in the End Times. This is perhaps unsurprising because the Jehovah’s Witnesses are a millenarian denomination, meaning that they believe in a cataclysmic transformation of society that will happen at some point in the future. In fact, they believe that the current era entered into its final phase in 1914, which was when Jesus Christ started ruling in heaven as the king of God’s kingdom.
7. Would Refuse a Blood Transfusion
He has stated that he would refuse a blood transfusion. Once again, this is a standard practice for Jehovah’s Witnesses, which is based on their interpretation of certain passages from scripture. Members of the denomination are allowed to accept alternatives to blood transfusions when that is an option. Furthermore, they may accept some blood plasma fractions at their own discretion. However, Jehovah’s Witnesses are supposed to reject blood transfusions of whole blood even if it is a matter of life or death. Krayzie Bone has stated his adherence to this practice while also stating that God will be bringing back his faithful.
8. Believes that God Reads Hearts
In any case, Krayzie Bone believes that all that people can do is to make sure that we are doing the right thing at all times. However, he also believes that God reads hearts. As a result, even if someone seems fine from the outside, they won’t be so if they are bad on the inside. In contrast, even if someone has done some bad things because of dire circumstances, it is possible that they will still be saved if they have a good heart.
9. Now Stays Clear of Ouija Boards and the Like
Krayzie Bone was always so religious. As he sees it, he went through something of a rebellious phase when he was still young, with the result that he has done some things that he wouldn’t do nowadays. For instance, Krayzie is very much a believer in the existence of supernatural forces. Due to this, he regrets messing around with ouija boards and the like because they are not seen in a positive light by Jehovah’s Witnesses to say the least.
10. Doesn’t Always Understand What His Group-Mates Are Saying
Everyone has had moments in which they weren’t sure what a musician was saying or singing in a song. Amusingly, Krayzie Bone says that he has had moments in which he didn’t have a clue what his own group-mates in Bone Thugs-n-Harmony were saying. If it bothers him, he does the same thing as a lot of other people, which is to say, listen to the song again and again trying to figure out what is being said. However, Krayzie Bone has also been known to just mumble along from time to time.
