The 10 Best Spongebob Squarepants Songs
Spongebob Squarepants is a show that is and always will be celebrated by all age groups for a long time. I know for a fact I will be singing and referring to Spongebob for the rest of my life. From the comedy that’s an instant laugh for kids and even adults, Spongebob is a true treasure. Over the years we’ve gotten lots of songs from the series and each one is special in its own way. In honor of the show we’ll go over what we call the best Spongebob Squarepants songs.
10. This Grill Is Not A Home (Without You)
This song is a surprisingly beautiful ballad from Spongebob and Mr. Krabs when Spongebob leaves the Krusty Krab to start working at The Chum Bucket. While the two don’t necessarily need the other to be successful, neither of them feels quite at home without the other.
9. Doing The Sponge
Doing The Sponge is a really cool 60s era beach rock track that feels super Beach Boys. In the show, this song is played when Spongebob is dancing with Pearl but everyone gets injured due to nobody being able to do the things Spongebob can do. Eventually, Spongebob and Pearl get kicked out of the dance but overall Pearl has a great time and that’s why Spongebob went to the dance in the first place.

8. Jelly Fish Jam
Jelly Fish Jam is an underwater jam session with the ocean as the orchestra. This is another classic Spongebob moment, premiering very early in the series lifespan. Every single sound is coming from an animal, an underwater creature or various objects underneath the ocean.
7. Stadium Rave
Stadium Rave is that unforgettable jam that plays when Sponegbob brings a jellyfish into his house as a pet and they throw a dance party. However, the jellyfish can’t get enough of the song and the party so he continues to keep Spongebob awake with this song.
6. F. U. N. Song
F.U.N. Song is probably the most unforgettable Spongebob Squarepants song of them all with the song being filled with a musical dialogue of sorts between Spongebob and Plankton. The song, and episode, is full of Spongebob trying to make Plankton a better person.
5. Ripped Pants
As the song states in the very beginning, when Larry came to town Spongebob turned into a clown when he ripped his pants. We all remember Spongebob trying to impress Sandy and everyone else when Larry shows off his muscles and abilities on Mussel Beach.
4. Sweet Victory
Maybe my favorite Spongebob Squarepants song, Sweet Victory is from the Battle of the Bands episode with Squidward VS Squilliam. Squidward’s dreams are given a chance to come true with a Battle of the Bands but of course the residents of Bikini Bottom are not quite what Squidward had hoped. Eventually they all come together to create this Phil Collins type jam and help Squidward literally send Squilliam to the hospital.
3. Krusty Krab Pizza
While not an official song released for any album, but from another episode that could never be forgotten, the Krusty Krab Pizza Song is one of the funnier songs. Featuring Spongebob and Squidward walking to the ends of the Earth to deliver a single Krusty Krab Pizza. Of course it wouldn’t be a proper Spongebob episode without the sponge harassing Squidward the whole time with an increasingly difficult song for Squidward to handle.
2. Campfire Song Song
Campfire Song Song’s title says it all, a campfire song about campfire songs. Yet another moment where Spongebob annoys Squidward as much as physically possible. To make matters even worse, Patrick is there as well which is just an amplifier for Squidward’s rage. Thankfully, at the cost of Squidward’s sanity, we all get a great campfire sing along song out of it.
1. Goofy Goober Rock
What I am calling the best Spongebob Swquarepants song ever, Goofy Goober Rock comes from the very first Spongebob Squarepants movie. The song is a clear reworking of Twisted Sister’s I Wanna Rock, changed in terms to accommodate Spongebob literally rocking out to his favorite restaurant in order to free everyone from Plankton’s mind control.
Spongebob Squarepants was not only inspirational for its humor but also for its music, regardless of how brief the song was. Honestly I could of included every song from the show and movies for this list of best Spongebob Squarepants songs but unfortunately I trimmed it down to 10. Recently announced Spongebob spinoffs are in the works to be released through the streaming platform Paramount Plus. Of these spinoffs, the one I’m most excited for is The Patrick Star Show which I think will being the most laughs with just its concept alone.
