10. I Gotta Be

 

The lead single for Jagged Edge’s fifth album, This Is Us is a straightforward ballad about the struggles of relationships. The constant use of the words “I gotta be” throughout the song drives home how important it is for them to share their lives with another person and how they plan to do that even if the person is not with them anymore. 9. Where the Party At

 

The 2002 song, Where the Party At is about taking a girl to a party and having fun with all of the festivities that come along with it. This song was very popular in clubs and still gets a lot of play on mainstream radio. The lyrics are not that deep, but it is an entertaining party song. Jagged Edge’s first hit song was Good Luck Charm which has the ’80s feel down to the synthesizer lead. The song is about a guy trying to find the perfect woman and when he finally does, he wants her to be his lucky charm. The song is about the types of women they like and do not like. Jagged Edge’s vocal performance is top-notch on this track too, showing another side to their singing ability. The wards won were numerous for this song including an American Music Award and Billboard Music Award.

5. Let’s Get Married

 

Jagged Edge’s third single from their debut album received a lot of airplay back in the 90s. The song is about finding that special someone and wanting to spend the rest of their lives together. What makes this song so popular is not only Jagged Edge’s singing, but Usher singing the second verse. His vocals added an extra element to the song. It was nominated for Best R&B/Urban Dance Track at the Billboard Music Awards.

4. Walked Outta Heaven

 

Another Usher featured song on this list is Walked Outta Heaven. This upbeat party song had the ladies singing along with the lyrics of “Walked Outta Heaven” from the start. Jagged Edge’s vocal performance on this track is amazing and they sound like a group of angels singing on this track. It was the top 20 R&B/Hip-Hop song on the Hot 100.

3. He Can’t Love U

 

The 2000 hit song, He Can’t Love U is about a man who feels he has done everything possible for the woman he loves and yet she still is not giving him the attention he desires. The song samples Mary J. Blige’s “Real Love” and was brought to life by a great music video.

The 1997 song, Goodbye is a ballad that Jagged Edge releases as their first single ever. The group sings about a past love who has decided to leave them and how hard it is for them to let go. The number one spot on this list goes to the song, So Amazing from Jagged Edge’s second album. The song is about a man who loves the woman he is with and feels that there is nothing they cannot get through if they just stick together. The lyrics of this song are some of Jagged Edge’s best work and the music video was great too. The song made the group wins various awards and it even won a Grammy award in 2003 for Best R&B Vocal Performance by the Group. It is an amazing modern R&B love song that got more attention to the fun.
