Are you ready for the new game and with anime series? Don’t worry, Netflix just announces the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming to the streaming platform. This is also an upcoming highly anticipated open-world role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 produced by Polish video game developer CD Projekt Red. The game launching on November 19th, 2020. We also see Keanu Reeves in this dystopian sci-fi video game. Here’s the short description of the game. This game story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour, and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality.
What’s the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners release date?
There is an official release date. But the date isn’t certain we just know which year they release. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will release in 2022 on Netflix.
Here’s the synopsis of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners:
“The anime series follows a standalone, brand new 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edge-runner—a mercenary outlaw also known as cyberpunk.”
This is a production of Studio Trigger reveals their involvement in creating an anime series based in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. However, the series co-produced by Projekt Red and directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, who anime fans may also know as the behind titles like Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, and Promare.
Studio Trigger CEO Masahiko Otsuka talks about the anime: “We are thrilled to work with CD Projekt Red to create a brand-new story set in the world of the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077.
Then added:
It’s a huge challenge to adapt this universe into an anime, but we are eager to face it head-on. I’ve always loved cyberpunk as a genre but always found it difficult to create as an original work. This is why I’m very excited to be working with CD Projekt Red on this project. It won’t be easy to please both game and anime fans, but I love a challenge, and I’m looking forward to the production. We’ll do our best to meet and exceed expectations.”
We also don’t know anything else about cast specifics maybe with Keanu Reeves. But we can sure they will add a famous voice cast in the series. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will release on Netflix in 2022. Check out the trailer below.
