System of a Down band’s members just finished written 12-song for a new album without Serj Tankian.
It’s just 15 years since SOAD released their last album. That’s it looks like the band has got back into writing new music together. But the vocalist of this band’s Serj Tankian didn’t join this part. They’ve also got a European tour lined up for this summer and announced a one-time off the biggest stadium concert in L.A. for the spring. In the interview with Alt Press, System of a Down drummer John Dolmayan touched on the band’s current state and more. Also, he is saying bands have moved even further away from making new music and already finished written session.
They asked “Are we any closer to a new System Of A Down album?
” and Dolmayan responded:
“We’re further away. We were getting close for a little while. Shavo [Odadjian, bassist], Daron [Malakian, guitarist] and I were in the studio—this is two, maybe three years ago now. We finalized the music for 12 songs. They were very good. But due to internal problems and rifts, I don’t see that happening.”
According to this, we can’t probably listen to any new things from the SOAD. But we hope they will make an album in later times. Check out the John Dolmayan project – These Grey Men below.
