Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods coming to Netflix in June 2020

This is a new Vietnam war movie that follows four African-American war veterans who return to Vietnam years. Also, they later find the remains of their fallen squad leader. And the promise of buried treasure. Spike Lee is the director of this upcoming movie. He also co-wrote the script with Danny Bilson, Paul DeMeo, Matt Billingsly, and Kevin Willmott.

What’s the synopsis of Da 5 Bloods film?

Here’s the official description from Netflix:

“Spike Lee’s film comes a New Joint: the story of four African-American Vets — Paul (Delroy Lindo), Otis (Clarke Peters), Eddie (Norm Lewis), and Melvin (Isiah Whitlock, Jr.) — who return to Vietnam. Searching for the remains of their fallen Squad Leader (Chadwick Boseman) and the promise of buried treasure, our heroes, joined by Paul’s concerned son (Jonathan Majors), battle forces of Man and Nature — while confronted by the lasting ravages of The Immorality of The Vietnam War.” However, in this first trailer of the movie soundtracked by the Chamber Brothers’ “Time Has Come Today” song.
