Director Says Wonder Woman 1984 Would’ve Been A Worse Movie

Patty Jenkins, the director of Wonder Woman 1984, says that if the movie was originally released on the planned dates, it could have been worse.

Wonder Woman 1984 is Patty Jenkins‘ second DC universe movie. Her first movie is Wonder Woman, released in 2017. The second movie about; “Wonder Woman 1984, which takes place in the mid-1980s, is about the adventures of Wonder Woman, who is confronted with new dangers and allies. Diana Prince, the aka Wonder Woman, is facing two new enemies this time: Max Lord and Cheetah. Meanwhile, Steve Trevor comes back to life surprisingly and unexpectedly. ”

The film was pre-screened but has not yet been released worldwide. There are positive and negative reviews. Patty Jenkins, director of “Wonder Woman 1984″ movie, spoke about it.

Previously, Wonder Woman 1984‘s release date was first in November 2019, then it was delayed to December. Unfortunately, the movie was postponed to June 2020 due to the coronavirus. The movie which has been delayed several times will finally release on HBO Max this Friday.

These release dates were also a problem for the director of the movie, Patty Jenkins. When Warner Bros. announced the first release date of the movie as 2019, she was frustrated by how little time she would actually have to make the movie.

Jenkins was working on a series at the time and she explains the process after this release date:

“I never wanted it to come out in the winter. I was fighting the studio because we were supposed to come out summer of 2020, and then they didn’t have a big movie for 2019. I was in the middle of making a limited series, and all of a sudden they announced that they had moved up the release date by seven months, which was going to give me way less time to make the movie than I had for “Wonder Woman.” I was saying, “You guys, why would you guarantee I can’t make as good of a film by making it too quick?”

She says that if this first release date happened, the movie would be really rushed, and the result would be a bad movie.

Unfortunately, the Wonder Woman 1984 movie didn’t receive as many positive reviews as expected, but at least Jenkins took the extra time she needed to produce.
After they release the movie worldwide, we will share new comments and news with you.
