It means “Sorcery Fight,” in English. Gege Akutami has started Jujutsu Kaisen as a hugely popular shonen manga series. So, the first debut of the series was really anticipated already and in Japan in 2020.

The story starts really classic as a handsome young man finds a new home in a secret school and dedicates himself to studying sorcery. So he becomes a part of a supernatural world naturally just after he eats a finger, which actually belongs to a cursed spirit. Wait… What?

The story of Jujutsu Kaisen follows an easygoing high school student, Yuji Itadori. He and his friends accidentally summon grotesque creatures while they are messing with a cursed object. So Itadory tries to save his friends and fights. During this fight, he also lives a life-changing event that will come out when a sorcerer drawn by dangerous energy. And then, their journey begins…

Why Is Jujutsu Kaisen a must-watch anime?

You might have seen lots of magic schools, that’s right. But I don’t think none of them were like this one. It sure has lots of mutual elements as well, such as close friends, unusual allies, and quirky teachers. But on the other hand, Jujutsu Kaisen also has mold-breaking elements that indicate the stakes very high.

Clever nuances coupled with the fluid and fantastically animated combat intensity, combined with flashy punches are the reasons how Jujutsu Kaisen manages up to the level of its competitors and make it a great and entertaining watch.
