First Full Trailer for Jonas Akerlund’s Lord of Chaos Film About Black Metal
Gunpowder & Sky has released the first full trailer for Lord of Chaos directed by Jonas Akerlund.
You might be familiar with his name because our well-known Swedish filmmaker Jonas Akerlund, is no other than Bathory’s first drummer! Also, he has directed music videos for Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Smashing Pumpkins, Jane’s Addiction and Rammstein during his carreer. His upcoming movie is inspired by the book ‘Lords of Chaos’ written by Michael Moynihan and Didrik Søderlind. Here is the official synopsis: “A teenager’s quest to launch Norwegian Black Metal in Oslo in the 1980s results in a very violent outcome. Lords of Chaos tells the true story of True Norwegian Black Metal and its most notorious practitioners. A group of young men with a flair for publicity, church-burning, and murder: MAYHEM.” Rory Culkin is starring in the film along with Emory Cohen, Sky Ferreira, Jack Kilmer, and Valter Skarsgård. The story is co-written by Dennis Magnusson and Jonas Akerlund.
Lord of Chaos will debut in selected theaters on February 8th and will be available on demand on February 22. Check out the first full-length trailer below.
