KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer explains how he discovered his 31-year-old daughter
KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer opened up more about his daughter who he found out that he had last summer.
KISS band’s guitarist Tommy Thayer did not know that he had a daughter until the last summer. The guitarist waited for the right time to announce it to the public, and then he shared a photo on Instagram declaring that he’s bonding with his long-gone daughter. When Tommy Thayer first announced it, he used those words to express his feelings:
“This is a big one.. I’ve been waiting for the right time to tell everyone. My daughter Sierra and I were blessed to find each other last summer. We’ve already spent a lot of time since getting to know each other and creating a close bond. She’s a beautiful, sincere person and I couldn’t be happier. I think she feels the same about me. The most wonderful thing about miracles is that they sometimes happen.”

And now, the famous musician is here again with more to say abo1ut her daughter. Appearing on the 43rd episode of Hangin’ & Bangin’, a podcast by Artists On Lockdown, Tommy Thayer shared how good of a blessing it was to meet his daughter.
First, he mentioned the first moment he learned about the daughter and shared what he used to think before that:
“I found out I have a daughter last summer. I was married for many years and never had any kids, so I kind of thought that window of opportunity had passed me by. But through 23andMe, actually, a second cousin of mine was in contact with Sierra. And she’s 31 years old. So this all took place in ’89.”
Thayer also shared his feelings towards that situation, emphasizing its incredibility, and his love for his daughter:
“It’s the most incredible thing, it’s just a blessing. And she’s just a beautiful girl — very genuine and just so sweet. It’s just an unbelievable happening in my life. It’s the biggest thing that’s happened to me in a long time, that’s for sure.”
