Kirk is a Metallica guitarist since 1983 after the leave of Dave Mustaine from the band. Then he joined the band and still play guitar. We know he loves the early rock and metal bands. And he just shares a photo with his legendary band guitarist Pete Townshend. In this photo, Pete Townshend holding a guitar and side-by-side with Kirk. This photo was taken by a rock and roll photographer, Ross Halfin.
Kirk Hammett also recently talks about his Greeny guitar:
“You know, it’s really crazy. It really feels like this guitar came to me. I’ve been in London a couple of days when I got a phone call from a friend of mine who’s a guitar dealer, and he said, ‘I have a guitar for you to check out.‘ ’Bro, I’m not interested in a guitar with a price tag of $2,000,000.’ And he said, ‘No, it’s all poppycock. It’s not $2,000,000, it’s not even $1,000,000; that’s all rumors.’”
Kirk Hammett said when he took the guitar with his hands, he was completely shocked for this guitar structure and style. Kirk also added a note and check photo below:
