Metallica release S&M² concert film with the orchestra

One week ago Metallica has shared a clip of ‘The Memory Remains’ from their upcoming concert film S&M².

Now, S&M2 will be premiered on October 9 in more than 3,000 theaters around the worldwide. This film will bring ‘S&M²’, a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the original ‘S&M’ concerts, album. However, if you can watch this film you need to hurry up because this is a one night only cinematic event. In this film, sees the group reunites again with the orchestra. Metallica’s S&M² was filmed over two nights at San Francisco’s Chase Center in early September.

This film was recorded live on September 6 and September 8, “S&M²” will see Metallica joining forces once again with the San Francisco Symphony, led in part by legendary conductor Michael Tilson Thomas and Edwin Outwater. Metallica will also perform several tracks from the original 1999 Grammy-winning live album “S&M” release as well as symphonic versions of new songs for the first time. Also, they are playing with new orchestral charts by Bruce Coughlin.
