Miley Cyrus just announced that they are working on a new project. She also reveals they working on a METALLICA cover album.
She recently performed a cover of METALLICA‘s famous “Nothing Else Matters” at the Glastonbury Festival in 2019. Cyrus also reveals how she inspired by METALLICA and Britney Spears in her latest interview: “In my sets, I cover Britney Spears to Metallica, so my record will be reflective of who I am. Which is just kind of all different pieces of inspiration and influence.”
Now Miley Cyrus talks to Interview Magazine and reveals they working on a new project that includes METALLICA cover album:
Miley: “There is a story behind it. We’ve been working on a Metallica cover album and I’m here working on that. We’re so lucky to be able to continue to work on our art during all of this. At first, it felt uninspiring and now I’ve been totally ignited. Have you been feeling the same way?
Owens: “I absolutely agree with you. I think in times of hardship, you have to step up your game and fight back, and creating is the strongest way to do that. I’m completely invigorated and energized.”
She also questioned: “Me fucking too. Who are your top-three favorite rock stars?”
Owens answered: “David Bowie, of course. There was a period when all I listened to was Motörhead, so Lemmy Kilmister. And Iggy Pop.”
Miley also added: “People ask me who I’ve studied for my movement on stage, and I always say Iggy Pop.”
