On Monday, West was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack at his home near Daytona, Florida, where he never regained consciousness, after which his brother shared a post on Facebook.

Leslie West‘s brother, Larry West Weinstein, announced the death of the artist on his social media account. Larry West Weinstein stated that, despite all efforts, West’s ongoing treatment at the hospital, who was suddenly ill earlier this month, was inconclusive. “I am asking for all your prayers. Jenni is by his side in Florida, but it’s not looking good. Thanks, Jenni, he wouldn’t have made it this far without you. His heart gave out and he’s on a ventilator. He may not make it through the night. ”
