Ozzy Osbourne Reveals His Current Connection with BLACK SABBATH
Ozzy Osbourne recently reveals his relationship with BLACK SABBATH and guitarist Tony Iommi. He also mentioned KORN’s vocalist behavior for his health problems.
During an interview with Matt Pinfield on Blizzard Of Ozz40 – HR1SEG2, Ozzy Osbourne revealed his current connection with the BLACK SABBATH band. He mentioned his relationship with guitarist Tony Iommi, and how he managed his health problems. Ozzy also talked about KORN’s Jonathan Davis attitude for his health.
“That was the first song we wrote. It was a song I wrote about ‘maybe we’ll meet in the end,’ which I’m glad we did at the end.
“Black Sabbath is never that far away from my thoughts, whether I like them today or not. Since I’ve been laid up these last 18 months, Tony Iommi has been such a support for me – so supportive. I’ve been closer to him in the last 18 months than I ever have been.
“We never got on for years. But whatever he did before and whatever I did before. When you’re laid up, you find out who your real friends are. And I’ll tell you what – Jonathan Davis, vocalist from KORN, I barely knew him from the Ozzfests, but he’s been so supportive.
“It’s so important that when you’re laid up, somebody cares enough to give you a thought. That’s all you need – a phone call or a text. It means the world.”
Ozzy Osbourne also added his thoughts about Tony Iommi:
“Tony, he’s always gonna be the greatest – no one can touch him. And actually, to this day, I still don’t understand how he plays guitar, ’cause he’s got no fingertips; he plays with plastic fingers.”
BLACK SABBATH also released its 50th-anniversary special deluxe edition of the “Paranoid” album. Check it out here.
