Shaman King Anime Reboot: First Trailer and Characters

The Shaman King anime, published in the early 2000s, is getting ready to be released in the reboot. The 20-year longing is over.

Recent information has been released about reboot anime, which will be adapted from Hiroyuki Takei’s manga. The anime’s official site, Shamanking-Project, has released a new PV and characters. We have collected all the information about anime so far for you.

What’s the synopsis of ‘Shaman King’ anime?

The synopsis of the anime published between 2001-2002 is as follows;
Shaman Yoh Asakura, who can see spirits and ghosts and communicate with them, comes to Tokyo to participate in the “Shaman Fight” competition, which is held every 500 years. The winner of “Shaman Fight” will be “Shaman King“. Yoh’s fiancee Anna and her new friends, who want to marry “Shaman King”, will try to fight against a family that wants to exclude Yoh from the competition.

When is the Shaman King Reboot release date?

The anime’s release date is scheduled for April 2021 worldwide. The new reboot is set to premiere on TV in Tokyo. Unlike the 64-episode original, the remake will stay more faithful to the story of the 35-volume manga.

First Trailer and Key Visual of Shaman King

The first trailer and images shared from the anime’s official site excited the fans. This is the first PV of the anime, which introduces the encounter between the protagonist Yoh Asakura and Manta Oyamada, and the voices of its six major characters.

  • Yoko Hikasa as Yoh Asakura
  • Megumi Hayashibara who is returning to voice Anna Kyoyama
  • Romi Park who is returning to voice Tao Ren
  • Masahiko Tanaka who is returning to voice Ryunosuke Umemiya
  • Katsuyuki Konishi who is returning to voice Amidamaru
