Netflix has released the first official trailer for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance as a new drama, adventure series.
This is a prequel series to the 1982 fantasy film The Dark Crystal. This 1982 classic based on Jim Henson‘s animated dark fantasy adventure film. The Dark Crystal one of the most expensive films at its time. In this first film, there are using groundbreaking production and film making techniques. Also, this film co-directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. However, in this film tells about the story from another world, another time, in the age of wonder, the world of Thra is under the rule of the cruel Skeksis. To save Thra from the Skeksis’ tyranny, The Mystics and two gelflings named Jen and Kira will save the world from The Dark Crystal itself.
What’s the story of The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance?
In this new 10-part Netflix prequel series, we back fro Thra many tries before the events of the 1982’s film.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“The world of Thra is dying. The Crystal of Truth is at the heart of Thra, a source of untold power. But it is damaged, corrupted by the evil Skeksis, and a sickness spreads across the land. When three Gelfling uncover the horrific truth behind the power of the Skeksis, an adventure unfolds as the fires of rebellion are lit, and an epic battle for the planet begins.”
When is the release date for The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance series?
The first season will be a total of 10 episodes with also 30 minute run time. Also, probably there is season 2 because of 12 issue sequel book series. The main voice cast includes Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Nathalie Emmanuel.
