Universal Pictures has released the trailer for Dolittle starring Robert Downey Jr. also talks with the animals.
Everybody knows Robert Downey Jr. as a Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man. Also, this upcoming film his first non-Marvel role since 2014’s The Judge. This film follows a story of a reimagining of the classic story. It will tell the tale of a physician and veterinarian living in Victorian England who discovers he can talk to animals. This first trailer shows Downey Jr. going on a new adventure after losing his wife seven years earlier.
What’s the official synopsis of Dolittle film?
After losing his wife seven years earlier, the eccentric Dr. John Dolittle (Downey), famed doctor and veterinarian of Queen Victoria’s England, hermits himself away behind the high walls of Dolittle Manor with only his menagerie of exotic animals for company. But when the young queen falls gravely ill. She is a reluctant Dolittle is forced to set sail on an epic adventure to a mythical island in search of a cure. He is regaining his wit and courage as he crosses old adversaries and discovers wondrous creatures.
Dr. John Dolittle is joined on his quest by a young, self-appointed apprentice and a raucous coterie of animal friends. Also including an anxious gorilla, an enthusiastic but bird-brained duck, a bickering duo of a cynical ostrich and an upbeat polar bear and a headstrong parrot, who serves as Dolittle’s most trusted advisor and confidante. It also stars Antonio Banderas and Emma Thompson, Tom Holland, Rami Malek, Octavia Spencer, Kumail Nanjiani, Marion Cotillard. Also, directed by Stephan Gaghan.
