Vinland Saga Season 2 is eagerly awaited by both anime and manga lovers. So what do we know so far for Season 2?
The Vinland Saga was first drawn in 2005 by Makoto Yukimura and published as a manga. In 2019, the adaptation of the popular manga was released as an anime. The first season of Vinland Saga was released by Wit Studio in 24 episodes and was truly one of the best manga adaptations made in recent years.
What is the synopsis of the Vinland Saga?
The series and manga are related to Scandinavian epics. Manga and anime depict the Dane-controlled England and the Viking invasions at the beginning of the 11th century. The story combines a dramatization of King Cnut the Great’s historical rise to power with a vengeance plot focused on the historical explorer Thorfinn, the son of a former warrior who was killed.
It is basically a revenge story that follows Thorfinn’s journey when he was raised by the Vikings who killed his family. In this world, there are smaller narratives with larger-than-real characters and heartbreaking stories.
When is the Vinland Saga season 2 release date?
We don’t have any information yet for the release date of Vinland Saga Season 2, but there are a few rumors. In December, the year 2022 was spoken for the release date of season 2, but a tweet posted on New Year’s Eve gave the surprise that the new season was not far away.
Some rumors are considering that the second season will arrive in April 2021. Together we will see if these rumors are true.

What to expect from Season 2?
Season 1 contained 54 episodes from the manga. Season 2 will continue with episode 55.
In Season 1 of the Vinland Saga, King Sweyn was assassinated and Prince Canute executed Askeladd. After Thorfinn attacks King Canute, he sells the new King Thorfinn as a slave. After the turmoil and revolt, Thorfinn is liberated once again.
It will be interesting to see how Thorfinn progresses and finds his way through these tense situations. We can expect the slavery tendency and the corresponding war to be in the Vinland Saga next season.
