Chernobyl is a five-episodes miniseries from HBO and Sky and tells dramatizes the story of the 1986 nuclear accident.

This series premiering May 6, 2019, and followed by new episodes each week for five-part. From the day of release its popularity soars. Also, many people wondering Chernobyl season 1 will ever be coming to Netflix platform. However, this series tells about what’s happening in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine. Also, shows as it explores the tension between political officials and scientists take on with the disaster’s aftermath.

This series isn’t likely going to be coming to Netflix. But the fans waiting for the announcement. However, there are few rumors about season 2 not coming but the Craig Mazin trying to make another series. Like Bhopal and Fukushima nuclear disaster.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“On April 26, 1986, the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine. The Soviet Union suffered a massive explosion that released radioactive material across Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine and as far as Scandinavia and western Europe.

Jared Harris portrays Valery Legasov, a leading Soviet nuclear physicist. As part of the response team, he was one of the first to grasp the scope of the unparalleled disaster that occurred. Stellan Skarsgård plays Soviet Deputy Prime Minister Boris Shcherbina, who is assigned by the Kremlin to lead the government commission on Chernobyl in the hours immediately following the accident. Emily Watson portrays Ulana Khomyuk, a Soviet nuclear physicist committed to solving the mystery of what led to the Chernobyl disaster.”

This series also includes stars Emmy-nominee Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgård and Emily Watson. Also, written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and directed by Johan Renck.
