Aaron Carter rose to fame in the early 2000’s and is well known as the younger brother of Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys’ with whom they starred on the 2006 reality tv show, House of Carters.  Sadly Carter passed away in 2023. 

Aaron Carter’s four studio albums made him a star among teenage audiences and within no time, he was making appearances on shows such as Nickelodeon, 7th Heaven, and even touring with the Backstreet Boys. Without further ado, please check out our list of the top ten Aaron Carter songs of all time.

10. Crush On You

The original version of this song was released in 1986 by Tonga-American family band The Jets. In 1997, Aaron Carter came up with a cover for the song and released it in his self-titled debut album, Aaron Carter. The song was a hit and even made it to the top ten charts of countries such as the UK and Australia. The video of the song features Aaron Carter’s brother Nick who consoled Aaron after finding out that the only girl he likes is interested in athletes only.

9. To All the Girls

Aaron Carter’s final album, Another Earthquake (2002) featured some of his best songs ever. The number nine song on our list of the top ten Aaron Carter songs is the track, “To All the Girls” which is one of those songs that prove just how Aaron Carter’s sound had matured.

8. Leave It Up to Me

The number eight song on our countdown is the song “Leave It Up to Me” which was released as a soundtrack for Nickelodeon’s Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius along with the track’s “Go Jimmy Jimmy” and “A.C.’s Alien Nation.” The song contains an incredible video that begins with Carter on a boring tour of a space museum. An alternate video of the song was featured on the VHS and DVD release of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. The song peaked at #22 on the UK singles chart and what a popular song it was among American teenagers.

7. Fool’s Gold

“Fool’s Gold” was the first song that Aaaron Carter released after a long hiatus that stretches back to 2002. The song was released on 1st April 2016 and is contained on Aaron’s Carter’s extended play, LøVë and also his 2018 album, Love. After years of being in the trenches which resulted in him filing for bankruptcy after being unable to pay a $2 million debt, Aaron Carter proved that he still had a lot to offer.  The song’s preview was premiered on November 14th 2015 and many people were excited about its release. “Fool’s Gold” peaked at #6 on Billboard Spotify Viral 50 and #15 on the Billboard Spotify Velocity.

6. That’s How I Beat Shaq

Going by the title of the song, you could probably ask yourself how did Aaron Carter manage to beat Shaquille O’Neal at anything apart from probably, singing. Well in this hit, Aaron Carter fantasizes about beating Shaquille O’Neal in a game of basketball. Eeerm…..How could he? To his credit though, Shaquille O’Neal himself lent vocals to the song to make it a big hit and fulfill one of Aaron Carter’s dreams. The song peaked at #96 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was featured as a soundtrack for the movie, Hey Arnold! The Movie.

5. Do You Remember

Coming in at number five on our countdown of the top ten Aaron Carter songs is the song, “Do You Remember” which is also one of his most underrated songs. With some lovely lyrics such as “Do you remember why I walked on water for you?” and a catchy beat to go along with, this song was quite popular when it came out.

4. Sooner or Later

“Sooner or Later” was a totally different sound for Aaron Carter and to be honest, the song was very catchy and addictive. With this song, you could tell that he had really matured and he was working hard to get back to his best. The song was released in 2016 and is contained in the EP, Love. The song incorporates some strong pop influences and there it’s no doubt that it became a massive hit.

3. Aaron’s Party

Aaron Carter’s 2000 album, Aaron’s Party ( Come Get It) was a great follow up to his international debut album. At the heart if the album was the song, “Aaron’s Party” which was a massive hit in the US, peaking at #35 on the US Billboard Hot 100. In the UK and Netherlands, the song peaked at #51 and #71 respectively and was featured on the European Dancing Stage EuroMix 2 arcade. The song contains a cool video that features Aaron Carter having a house party in his family’s house while their parents are out on a date.

The number two song on our list of the top ten Aaron Carter songs is the song “I Want Candy” which is contained in the album, Aaron’s Party (Come Get It). The song features a remix which was released in 15 years on from the original song. You will definitely feel a lot of nostalgia listening to the remix. What a massive hit “I Want Candy’ was.

Coming in at number one on our list of the top ten Aaron Carter songs is the song “I’m All About You” which is contained in his third studio album, Oh Aaron (2001). The song is arguably his most popular, hitting more than 20 million views on YouTube and helping the album achieve platinum status.
