BLACK SABBATH and METALLICA Programs Premiere On REELZ This Sunday

BLACK SABBATH and METALLICA show premiere on REELZ on December 6th, 2020. Breaking The Band and  The Story Of The Songs focus on the band’s success and making of the hit songs.

They are a legendary metal band in the world the so ‘BLACK SABBATH‘ called fathers of heavy metal. They came from humble origins to become among the most successful around the world. And, ‘Breaking the Band‘ will tells their journey from their early beginnings to sell-out tours and chart-topping success, to their eventual breakup. Combining high-end stylized drama reconstruction, extensive archive, and revealing interviews, we’ll chart the turbulent history of a band who battled with egos, Satanists, crippling drug and alcohol addictions, and music business mobsters who robbed them of everything they had.

This weekend there is another program ‘Metallica: The Story of The Songs‘ who also one of the important thrash metal legends in the world.

The Story of The Songs‘ follows the band’s 1989 anti-war anthem ‘One’, we hear from engineer Michael Barbiero who provides unique insights into the recording process and the controversy and self-sabotage that surrounded it that almost drove him to quit. Next, METALLICA releases the gruesome and chilling ‘Enter Sandman’ the hit that skyrocketed them to global commercial success – alienating their cult-following but accruing a newfound mainstream audience.

We hear all about the bands bickering and infighting from Mike Tacci, the engineer on the frontline, and meet legendary Metallica video director Wayne Isham who lifts the lid behind the nightmarish video. With the band, at breaking point after a slew of critically panned records and with frontman James Hetfield battling crippling addiction and personal demons their next album proves to be their toughest challenge yet.

Title track ‘St Anger’ sees Metallica risk their commercial credibility, releasing their most experimental and raw sounding record to date. We hear from long-time Metallica engineer Mike Gillies who witnessed the aggression and implosion of a band teetering on the brink of collapse and recalls the unique recording process that led to this huge hit. Relive Metallica’s wild ride and the three songs that saw them become the biggest heavy metal band on the planet

BLACK SABBATH: Breaking the Band‘ will release December 6 at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on REELZ. And, ‘Metallica: The Story Of The Songs‘ will release December 6 at 9ET/PT.
