Deftones confirms to the producer for their upcoming album
Deftones just confirms to ‘White Pony’ producer Terry Date for with their upcoming new album. They share a studio photo from Los Angeles, CA.
For a while ago Deftones announces a 2020 tour with Gojira, Poppy. According to fresh news from band, the veteran recording engineer helped all of the band’s from Deftones’ 1995 album Adrenaline. Then the band’s 2003 self-titled collection album. That also includes the releases Around the Fur (1997) and White Pony (2000). Deftones’ new and first since 2016’s Gore. We can wait for the new album will arrive at the end of 2020.
We know the release date because of frontman Chino Moreno. He previously said the album “definitely be out” in 2020. Then this week band’s drummer Abe Cunningham interviewed on Mixdown and confirmed the new album coming in the second half of 2020.
Here’s the short sections from his interview:
“We did things a little bit differently this time, we stretched everything out over the course of a couple of years, rather than blasting through in one go. The process has been mixed with about a year-long break, that we all agreed upon. Being rested and taking that time off really made us appreciate what we’re doing even more. When we’re all laughing and smiling and coming up with stuff together, just like when we were 17… it’s a beautiful thing.”
Deftones and Gojira, Poppy going tour until September 2020. After that, we can probably listen to the new album. Check out the Instagram photo below.
