Is ‘The Exorcist’ Movie Returning as Sequel in 2021?
The exorcist may return in 2021, with David Gordon Green in the director’s chair. The Observer’s report confirms these rumors.
Directed by William Friedkin, the 1973 film The Exorcist is one of the most cult movies in the history of horror cinema. Although at the end of the movie, even if the mystery solved and the evil cast out, the devil will never perish forever. After the 1973 movie, many demon adaptations released, but none of them were in the classification of the original The Exorcist movie. David Gordon Green is coming to change that.
Blumhouse Productions has released modern horror movies such as “Get Out”, “Paranormal Activity”, “The Purge” so far. These were highly successful and popular productions, and according to The Observer’s report, Blumhouse Productions is currently planning a new Exorcist movie with director Green.
Green’s last project was “Halloween Kills” is a Halloween production. The film has had delays in its release date because of COVID-19, and they schedule the film to arrive in October 2021. Stars like Anthony Michael Hall, Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer starred in the movie.
David Gordon Green will probably return with a new Exorcist movie after “Halloween Kills”. It is not yet known whether the film will be a sequel or a completely original production, but according to the Observer report, the film will be a sequel.
David Gordon Green is also the producer of the Hellraiser series, which is scheduled to arrive in 2021. Between the “Halloween Kills” and “Hellraiser” productions, we do not think that there will be a new Exorcist movie, at least in 2021. However, our old nightmare, the little devil, may meet us in the coming years.
