Laboy started a movement that had others imitating him. As soon as Demon Time was up and running, people saw it was lucrative; Tory Lanez began “Quarantine Radio” while Magic City allowed virtual lap dances. Instagram did not like the trend and started a crackdown on the Instagram accounts allowing such activity. Laboy tried being elusive by using burner accounts, but they were all flagged. He was a professional basketball player, but no matter how hard he tried, he realized that his name would never be spoken in the same breath as Michael Jordan’s or LeBron James’s.
