L-G Petrov, Entombed A.D. vocalist, passes away at the age of 49

LG Petrov, a singer most prominently known for his work in Entombed, passes away at the age of 49 because of bile duct cancer. May he rest in peace.

His band confirmed LG Petrov‘s death on Facebook with a message for the legendary singer. They mentioned Petrov‘s influence on many people and black metal. Fans are devastated after hearing about this sad news, which is reflected in the comments section.

His band shared their sadness after Petrov died, with fond messages and comments about the late legendary singer.

“⁣We are devastated to announce that our beloved friend Lars-Göran Petrov has left us.⁣⁣”, they said. “Our brother, leader, vocalist, our Chief Rebel Angel went on another ride last night. It’s with the deepest sadness that we have to announce that Lars-Göran Petrov has left us.”. They mentioned Petrov’s being an “incredible friend, and a person that has touched so many people”. Entombed A.D. said L-G Petrov changed so many lives with his voice, music and unique personality. His smile, they said, is something that they will carry forever in their hearts.

“When asked in an interview what he would like to have written on his grave and what about his legacy, he said: “I will never die, it will never die”. And you didn’t. You will live forever in our hearts.⁣⁣⁣⁣”, the band added.

Petrov’s death is due to his bile duct cancer which he was diagnosed with in the last summer.

Many known faces from the music circle have expressed their sadness and shared their condolences as well. Amon Amarth’s vocalist Johan Hegg talked about the late musician, saying that he would miss L-G Petrov.
