Paul McCartney Reveals His Upcoming “McCartney III” Album
THE BEATLES legendary member Paul McCartney reveals his upcoming new “McCartney III” album. He also interviews about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
McCartney has long been a multi-instrumentalist, from his talented days with THE BEATLES band. He also recorded his new and upcoming album, “McCartney III” also out in December 2020. For his latest album, the songwriter has confirmed that he, in fact, played every instrument on the LP album. But, one thing that is impossible to avoid is that Paul McCartney will forever be remembered with the bass guitar.
During an interview on BBC 6 Music, Paul McCartney talks about the ongoing pandemic and his upcoming album:
“Yeah, I think so. A couple of the newer songs, this one called ‘Seize the Day’ – that has echoes of the pandemic kind of thing.
When the cold days come, we wish that we had seized the day. So that was just reminding myself and anyone listening that you better grab the good stuff and try and get it on through the pandemic. But it certainly helped me.
McCartney also answered, “How have you found the past six months, personally? Because I’ve found it really difficult to watch, the news, I mean… There’s a lot of positivity out there and there’s a lot of hope, but there’s a lot of fear and there’s a lot of blame. Have you found it?”
“I’m like you – I hate it. You know when you turn on the news the lead story is going to be how many people died. That’s depressing after a while. In truth, what kind of saw me through a lot of this was – I remembered that my parents, my mom, and dad, Jim and Mary, were in World War II, they survived the bombing and losing people left, right, and center. And yet they came out of it with incredible spirits!
So us kids in Liverpool, we grew up with this really, ‘Let’s have a good time, let’s see a roll out the barrel,’ with this great sort of wartime spirit that all the people had because they’d had enough. And so, I was brought up in a lot of that, so it’s kind of good to draw on that and think, ‘Well if they could do it, I can do it!'”
He also answers, is there any new ‘McCartney IV’ in 2030?
“I don’t know. I think we just have to wait and see, won’t we?”
Paul McCartney‘s new album “McCartney III” will release on December 11th, 2020. You can also pre-order here.
