When will be release The Witcher season 2 on Netflix?

The Witcher has already confirmed for season 2 from Netflix. After season 1 of The Witcher’s fans wants to know details on the second season and when we can release the series on Netflix.

In the first season of the series release on Netflix on December 20th. After the first season of The Witcher’s fans so curious about when will be release season 2 of this series. Before that, the series based on the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. Also, starring Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia and Henry Cavill-led fantasy drama tells a is an epic tale of fate and family. So we’ve good news about the upcoming series coming soon on this streaming platform.

When is the release date for season 2 of The Witcher on Netflix?

Before the first season of the series showrunner, Lauren S. Hissrich announced the return of the show and key characters on 13th November 2019. This happens almost over one month ago. She also tweets about that: “I’m so thrilled to announce: Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri will be back for more adventures… in Season Two. I could not be more proud of what the amazing cast and crew of The Witcher have accomplished, and can’t wait for the world to dig in and enjoy these stories with us.”

So there is no official release date about the upcoming season. But The Witcher season 2 will begin filming on February 17th, 2020. There were 14 months between the start of filming and the release of the season 1. If this happens the same for the second season, then we’ll be waiting until April 2021. We’ve got a speculated release date for Spring 2021. However, these new episodes will land sooner and late 2020.

What will happen in The Witcher season 2 and who’s in the cast?

With the several deaths of the first season. There are few surprise names will be added. Also, the main cast starring Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Mimi Ndiweni and MyAnna Buring.

Here’s the season 1 official description from Netflix: “The series is an epic tale of fate and family. The story of the intertwined destinies of three individuals in the vast world of The Continent. Where humans, elves, witches, gnomes, and monsters battle to survive and thrive, and where good and evil are not easily identified.”

*Spoilers Alert*

In season 2 of the series Blood of Elves sees Geralt take on the protection and training of Freya Allan’s Ciri. But given that some of Ciri’s moments have already been depicted in season 1 also it’s unlikely to be a direct adaptation of those events.

At the very least expect some monster hunting, sword-fighting, more on the war with Nilgaard and the elvish insurgency, as well as a likely focus on the prophecies and powers of Princess Ciri.

The Witcher season 2 production starts in February 2020. We guess next season release late 2020 or spring 2021 on Netflix. Check out the trailer below.
