Aliens: Fireteam first trailer dropped and coming this summer
Developer Cold Iron Studios LLC has shared an announcement trailer for sci-fi horror and survival game Aliens: Fireteam, inspired by the Alien movies. They are going to release the game this summer.
According to Gamespot, much as Aliens: Fireteam seems like just another survival game like Left 4 Dead or Warhammer: Vermintide, the game has some quality RPG elements for itself. We’ll see things such as character progression and ranking our skills up. There are going to be five Marine classes with different types of abilities and equipment, among which we are going to choose one to base our character on.
The game will also have a mission-altering system called Challenge Cards, which will ensure replayability in the long term. The developer is not willing to share much detail on the RPG elements and the story of this game, at least for now. You can check out the Steam page of Aliens: Fireteam and add it to your wishlist if you are interested.
The game will be released this summer for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A decisive release date is yet to be announced. We’ll stay tuned for more info.
What is the story of ‘Aliens: Fireteam’?
We create our own character, with which we play the role of a Marine, in a character creator screen. Being in a U.S.S Endeavor and picking up a distress call, we find ourselves investigating a colony planet filled with monstrous creatures.
The trailer illustrates the hardships the crew is going through in a naturally pessimistic environment. With guns, grenade launchers, and even flamethrowers, the crew tries their best to survive.
The announcement trailer for Aliens: Fireteam shows how the game is going to make us feel. Desperately trying to stay alive in an environment filled with dangerous xenomorphs, we’ll be in a role of a fresh Marine recruit in this co-op third-person game. The video used in the trailer is alpha in-game footage. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
