As the son of Paul Stanley, one of the founding members of Kiss, Evan Stanley has been around music for his entire life. As a result, most people probably weren’t too surprised when he decided to start a musical journey of his own. For the last several years, Evan has been working hard to establish himself in the industry. While there’s no doubt having a famous musician for a father is helpful, Evan is dedicated to building his own legacy and proving that he’s talented enough to make a name for himself. 1. He’s Gone On Tour With His Father
Not only did Evan have the pleasure of growing up with a father who is a music legend, but Evan also got the chance to be a part of the action. When he was younger, he got the opportunity to tour with Kiss and get a first-hand look at what it’s like to be a professional musician.
2. He’s In A Relationship
Things have been going well for Evan in all areas of his life. Not only is his musical career taking off, but his personal life is thriving, too. In an interview with Spin, Evan shared that he has a girlfriend although he didn’t provide any additional details about her or her relationship.
3. He Likes Wearing Rings
Fashion and music have always had a very close relationship. An artist’s wardrobe can play an important role in their career, and Evan is fortunate to have a great sense of style. It isn’t just his clothing, though, Evan also loves accessories – especially rings. Evan believes that his outfit is never complete until he’s wearing his rings.
4. He Wrote And Recorded “El Camino” In A Few Hours
Typically, the process of writing a song can be very long. However, wasn’t the case for Evan for he wrote his latest single “El Camino”. He told Spin, “El Camino” in, like, four hours. I just met my girlfriend a couple nights before and our first date ended ‘cause somebody called the cops on us. I was at the studio with my buddy Brian and I couldn’t get her out of my head. It was, like, seeing the world in colors I didn’t know existed, just totally living in the moment. I picked up a guitar and the song just came out. It was one of those songs I had to write.”
5. He Has A YouTube Channel
As an up-and-coming artist, Evan understands the importance of having a strong online presence and he has been working hard to build his. In addition to being active on Instagram and Twitter, he also has a YouTube channel where he posts music-related content. His channel currently has more than 216,000 views.
6. He Likes To Read
Things in Evan’s life can probably get a little hectic from time to time. While he’s grateful for all the progress he’s making, sometimes he likes to kick back and just enjoy some quiet time. When he gets a moment to spare, reading is one of his favorite things to do.
7. He’s Relatively Private
Unlike some people who grew up with a famous parent, Evan has never really been the type of person who is obsessed with being in the spotlight. Instead, he prefers a more low-key approach to life. As a result, he’s done a good job of keeping his personal business away from the media.
8. He Used To Be In A Band
These days, Evan is performing as a solo artist, but that wasn’t always the case. He played in several bands over the years. Most notably, he was a member of a band called The Dives. While talking to 100 Percent Rock, he said, “I love the guys in that band [The Dives] and had a blast playing and touring..The Dives was the first band where I wrote the stuff and was singing and fronting it”.
9. He’s A Night Owl
After a long day, most people can’t wait to get into bed at a reasonable hour. Evan isn’t most people though.- especially when it comes to his sleeping habits. Evan typically stays up until three or four in the morning. Needless to say, he probably doesn’t wake up too early.
10. He Loves Collaborating
Collaboration is a very important element of the creative process. Even though Evan is currently working on his career as a solo artist, he still looks forward to working with other musicians. As a person who likes a wide range of music, there is a wide range of people he would love to create with including Post Malone and EarthGang.
