Maleficent: Mistress of Evil trailer: Angelina Jolie back with Elle Fanning

Walt Disney Pictures has released the first official teaser trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil for the sequel.

Now we’re ready for the sequel to the 2014’s Maleficent film. 5 years ago the first film released and earned $759 million at the global box office. Because the character and story are unique. Also, the first movie told the story of Sleeping Beauty from a beautiful, pure-hearted young woman. Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. But this time the flying sorceress (Angelina Jolie) is teaming up with Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning).

Here’s the official synopsis for this film: “This is a fantasy adventure that picks up several years after “Maleficent,” in which audiences learned of the events that hardened. This is the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora. After that film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and Queen. As they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.” Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning in this film with also starring also stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, and Juno Temple.

It’s directed by Joachim Rønning from a story by Linda Woolverton. And a screenplay by Linda Woolverton and Micah Fitzerman-Blue, Noah Harpster. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil hits theaters on October 18, 2019.
