Metal Lords Netflix Film: Everything We Know So Far

Metal Lords is the upcoming film for Netflix. This teen music drama also produced by the Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss.

A few months ago in April, we learned the new project Metal Lords from Game of Thrones creators. So we also know who is the director of this upcoming film about rock and metal music. Peter Sollett is the director of this music drama genre film. The film produced by David Benioff and written by D. B. Weiss also Bighead Littlehead is the production company for this. And the, Greg Shapiro from ‘The Hurt Locker’ is also set to the project as a producer chair.

Who is Peter Sollett?

Peter Sollett already directs some of the film festival titles like ‘Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist’, ‘Freeheld’, ‘Raising Victor Vargas’, and ‘Minecraft’ (development). We also know his recent director’s job with two episodes of CBS’ – ‘Evil’ series.

What’s the synopsis of ‘Metal Lords’ film?

Here’s the official description from Netflix:

“Two kids want to start a heavy metal band in a high school where exactly two kids care about heavy metal. They try to find a bass player and fail.

But they do find a girl who is very good at cello. If the three of them can’t settle their differences and work together, they’re never going to win the Battle of the Bands.”

What’s the cast for this film?

We know just three characters in this film. These characters Hunter, Kevin, and Emily. Also, this film casting already starts on August 15th.

When is the ‘Metal Lords’ release date?

There’s no official confirmation about the release date yet. Normally, they want to start filming earlier but due to pandemic, they planned again for early October 2020.
