Every Anime Movie and TV Show Release in February 2021

Despite everything we have been going through because of the pandemic, a new year and a new season have also come upon us with 2021.

It may not exactly feel like it due to COVID-19 slowing many productions and cause delays within, the animation world has been still able to forge ahead more successfully than the rest of television. And we made a list for you of what’s ahead of us in the upcoming month, February. 

Here is the list of anime movies and series that will be released in February 2021.

Luminous Witches

The Federation Air Force Aviation Magic Music Corps announced in 2018 Luminous Witches as a new series of “World Witches” A spin-off of the original series titled Brave Witches had already aired from October to December 2016 and now a second spin-off titled Luminous Witches was scheduled to air. And the series will be broadcasting on the 3rd of February. 

The series is about a witch that protects everyone’s smile with “songs and music”, unlike the other witches whose have integrated combat wing and fights to protect everyone.

Sailor Moon Eternal

The fact that probably most of us have grown up watching Sailor Moon among other animes and cartoons. The manga was adapted into an anime series and Toei Animation produced it. Sailor Moon broadcast in Japan back from 1992 to 1997. Right after, a live-action television adaptation, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon aired from 2003 to 2004. After a while, a second anime series, Sailor Moon Crystal had begun simulcasting in 2014. And after all this time, here she is again!

The series follows the adventures of a schoolgirl named Usagi Tsukino as she transforms into Sailor Moon to search for a magical artifact, the “Legendary Silver Crystal”. She leads a group of comrades, the Sailor Guardians as they battle against villains to prevent the theft of the Silver Crystal and the destruction of the Solar System.

Sailor Moon Crystal “Season 4” will broadcast in a 2-part theatrical release. It is titled “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal: The Movie.” Part 1 was normally set for September 11th, 2020, but because of the pandemic, the anime series has been postponed to January 8th, 2021. Part 2 will be released a month later on February 11th, 2021.

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars Season 2

Dr. Stone is a 2019 television anime series produced by TMS Entertainment. It based on the manga of the same name written by Riichiro Inagaki. Dr. Stone is about a mysterious light coming and it turns every human on the planet into stone. After 3,700 years, a genius boy named Senku Isshigami comes. He emerges from his petrification into a “Stone World”. So he seeks ways to rebuild human civilization from the ground up, again. Dr. Stone’s season 2 premieres on January 14, 2021


VladLove is an upcoming 12-episode Japanese ONA anime series created by Mamoru Oshii. It was originally scheduled to premiere in October 2020, but it was delayed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. VladLove is a slapstick comedy centered on a vampire girl and a high school girl. Mitsugu Bamb is a penchant girl for donating blood. So it’s not a shocker that she accidentally becomes friends with a frail vampire.

VladLove has been confirmed for release on Amazon Prime in Japan. But it’s still unclear whether it will be available in English-speaking markets on Feb. 14.


High-Rise Invasion

High-Rise Invasion is a Japanese manga series written by Tsuina Miura and illustrated by Takahiro Oba. It is an ONA anime series adaptation by Zero-G. High-Rise Invasion will stream worldwide on Netflix on 25 February 2021.

The story revolves around a high school student Yuri Honjō finding herself lost in an “abnormal space”.  There are countless skyscrapers that are connected by suspension bridges and “masked figures” mercilessly slaughter their confused and fleeing victims. And we will be watching her as she tries to make a choice to survive in this hellish world. Will she kill the masked figures or be killed?
