RONNIE JAMES DIO “Holy Diver” Album’s Comic Book Coming in 2021

RONNIE JAMES DIO “Holy Diver” album getting a comic book adaptation. They also set this upcoming release date for 2021.

Recently, on SYFY WIRE‘s “Metal Crush Mondays” program new episode, many musicians participated in this live chat. In this episode of the show Whitney Moore joined and which also featured Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, Korn’s Jonathan Davis, and In This Moment’s Maria Brink. Also, the RONNIE JAMES DIO associate manager Wendy Dio revealed the “Holy Diver” album comic book adaptation will out next year and published by Z2 Comics. This upcoming adaptation writer is Steve Niles.

During this live chat, Wendy Dio revealed the RONNIE JAMES DIO – “Holy Diver” album’s comic book adaptation:

“What I want to try to do is create the background story for the album cover, so we get the whole story of how that image came to be. I’m just in the planning stages right now, but the cover is my main inspiration. The cover and the song.”

Wendy Dio also added:

Ronnie used to read a book a day. The obvious ones — Stephen King, H.G. Wells, Dennis Wheatley, Frank Herbert (he loved the Dune books), Edgar Allan Poe — and then into the fantasy with Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Harry Potter.”
