The Boondocks reboot for two new season order at HBO Max
HBO Max has ordered a two new season, a 24-episode of The Boondocks animated series.
This original series 55 episodes, which release on Adult Swim from 2005 to 2014. The animation show is based on Aaron McGruder‘s comic books, and the original creator is once again to reimagine the upcoming new episodes. Also, creator McGruder added for upcoming seasons: There’s a unique opportunity to revisit the world of The Boondocks and do it over again for today. It’s crazy how different the times we live in are now — both politically and culturally — more than a decade past the original series and two decades past the original newspaper comic. However, there’s a lot to say and it should be fun.

What’s the story behind The Boondocks?
This original series follows a story Cantankerous Robert “Granddad” Freeman is the legal guardian of his grandsons. 10-year-old revolutionary Huey and 8-year-old Riley, a product of contemporary rap culture.
A press release reveals the synopsis of the new Boondocks reboot:
Boondocks follows the adventures of self-proclaimed “Civil Rights Legend” Robert “Granddad” Freeman, and his two rambunctious grandsons Huey and Riley. His family has recently moved to an idyllic community in suburban Maryland. This suburban only to see it taken over by the tyrannical Uncle Ruckus and his bizarre neo-fascist regime. Also, life under Ruckus turns out to be an everyday struggle to survive.
