If you are a rock lover, you probably are a huge fan and follower of the Lifehouse band. The American band consists of Jason Wade, Rick Woolstenhulme and Bryce Soderberg who hail from Los Angeles. The band became an instant hit in the year 2001, with the hit single “Hanging by a Moment” which was from their debut studio album “No Name Face” The band has released six more albums after the debut album, which have spawned some of the most loved singles that made it to the top 40 hits in the US. The release of touchy hit songs by the band, has led to the band being nominated severally for the Teen Choice Award. Here are the top ten Lifehouse songs of all time.

10. Blind


The number ten song on our list is “Blind” , a song that was released in November 2005 as the second radio single in support of the band’s third studio album. The music video features stars like Tina Majorino and other up-and-coming young actors. “Blind” is one of Lifehouse’s songs that failed to make a huge impact at radio. The song peaked at #22 on Billboard’s Adult Top 40 chart.

9. Broken


The number nine song on our list is the third single released by Lifehouse from their fourth studio album. “Broken” was written and composed by Jason Wade who got inspired to write the song after visiting a friend who was in need of a kidney transplant. It is a touching and moving song that not only moves the people but also the song writer himself. This is what makes the song unique and great in its own way. “Broken” debuted at number 95 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also charted internationally where it debuted at number 92 on the Canadian Hot 100.

“Halfway Gone” is a song that Kevin Rudolf wrote alongside Wade of Lifehouse hence giving the song a fresh sound. The story of this song is about a relationship that went wrong and there are a lot of wishes that things could be fixed and the lovers to be able to overcome their problems but things have gone too far, “they hit a wall and cant get over it”. The song is touchy and quite deep.

5. All In


“All In” is Lifehouse’s second single from their fifth studio album Smoke & Mirrors released on the 18th of May 2010. It was produced by one of the greatest producers of all time Jude Cole. The song is a very beautiful and expressive love song about how a guy ended things with his girl and then realized that he was wrong for ending it so he asked for a second chance and she gave it to him and he is embracing it and trying not to lose her again, basically he will never let her go because he knows that she is who he belongs with.

4. First Time


This power pop song was released in May 2007, as the first single released from Lifehouse fourth studio album. The song writer Wade felt an urgent urge to write the track and thus he did put in some deep thought in writing the song. The band has performed the song live on late night national television shows. “First Time” debuted at number 83 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also charted internationally, debuted on the Canadian Hot 100 at number 79.

3. Whatever It Takes


This ballad is one of those songs that would make you let the tape machine roll and get the music down spontaneously. “Whatever It takes” brings out a very important message to people of how it could be difficult to be in a relationship. The song peaked at #97 on the Billboard Hot 100 at first and moved up the chart peaking at #33.

Infact, before the song was released, Jason Wade used it as his own love story. The song was certified gold by the RIAA for selling more that 500,000 units in the United States.

The song received positive reviews and was highly applauded for its instrumentation. “Hanging By A Moment” won a Billboard Music Award for Hot 100 single of the year is one of the most uptempo and radio-friendly songs that the band has ever done.

  1. I will lead with disclaimer that some may not consider it a Lifehouse song, however they did release it with Hanging by a moment so I am counting it. “Fool” should be on their top ten.
