Cowboy Bebop Live-Action Netflix Release Date and Resume Filming

Cowboy Bebop live-action to resume filming again for Netflix in July 2020. Also, here is the possible release date, synopsis, cast and characters details.

This is an anime series made in 1998 and includes 26 episodes. Netflix also announced last year the live-action adaptation of Sunrise studios Cowboy Bebop anime. And for the upcoming live-action Netflix is co-working with Tomorrow Studios. The upcoming live-action version directed by Michael Katleman and Alex Garcia Lopez (we also know from Daredevil). It also was written by Hajime Yatate, Alexandra E Hartman, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, and known authors. They normally suspended the filming but start filming again in July 2020. However, they delayed again the anime series from September 2020 to January 2021.

When is the release date of Cowboy Bebop Live-Action?

There’s no official release date confirmation. But according to Cowboy Bebop Live-Action will release in the Summer or Fall of 2021.

Here’s the official synopsis about this live-action:

“Based on the global phenomenon from Sunrise Inc., Cowboy Bebop is the jazz-inspired, genre-bending story of Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Faye Valentine, and Radical Ed: a rag-tag crew of bounty hunters on the run from their pasts as they hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals. They’ll even save the world…for the right price.”

Daniel Richtman revealed they are currently filming production: 

“This character is nonbinary, genderqueer, intersex, transmasculine, and/or the third gender in their 30s. They are a bartender at Ana’s nightclub and Ana’s right-hand person. As capable with a saxophone as a Glock, as confident in a dress as a suit, Gren is a Bowie-Esque embodiment of 22nd-century handsome beauty… Recurring Guest Performer (People who identify as nonbinary, genderqueer, intersex, transmasculine, and/or third gender are encouraged to submit.)”

Who is in the Cowboy Bebop cast?

There are a few members reveals already characters and cast:

  • Spike Spiegel – John Cho
  • Vicious – Alex Hassell
  • Faye Valentine – Danielle Pineda
  • Jet Black – Mustafa Shakir

Also, the first season of the anime will consist of 10 episodes. Cowboy Bebop Live-Action will be available on Netflix in the Summer or Fall of 2021. Check out the anime trailer.
