Duke Deuce, is an American rapper who got worldwide recognition from his single “Whole Lotta,” which was released on YouTube in 2018. He used to produce his music through his family studio until Quality Control Studios noticed him and took him in. If you haven’t listened to his music, you definitely need to lend this man an ear. 1. Early life

Patriots Lashun Isom, better known by his stage name, Duke Deuce, is an American rapper who was raised in Memphis. He was born on the 1st of May 1992 in Memphis, Tennessee in the United States. He was born and raised in a family that loves music. According to Wikipedia, Deuce began making beats in his father’s studio when he was only 6.

2. Family

Duke Deuce’s family was musically talented. His grandfather was a musician who used to sing in the church choir. On the other hand, Deuce’s father, Duke Nitty, was a music producer. He produced albums such as Gangsta Blac, Nasty Nardo, Mobb Lyfe, and DemThugs. Duke owes most of his experience to his father since he grew up in the studio with him. The Memphis hip-hop is the family business that his father currently owns. On several occasions, Duke accompanied his father to the Quality Control Studio so that his father can have a glimpse of him doing what he does best.

As of the year 2021, Duke Deuce has an estimated net worth of $700,000. For an artist who is less than 30 years of age, this is quite a good amount to have. He earns his money from various sources such as music sales and payments from live performances. YouTube also pays him a royalty through his YouTube channel where he has over 98k subscribers.

Duke’s charitable deeds are evident in that he decided to use his money in charity work. He decided to give back to the community that raised him. Duke Deuce got signed in by the label after he drew the attention of Offset. His ‘she loves me Meechie’ was the exact song that drew in Offset. Offset contacted him through a message on Instagram and from there on, other things followed.

7. His musical Career journey

Duke’s musical career is founded on the fact that he grew up in a musical family. From the start, Duke knew what he was going to do and who he was going to become. He began to shine in 2018. His song “Whole Lotta” became an online sensation, gaining him a lot of attention and people began noticing him. Most people compared him to Three 6 Mafia’s Crunchy Black. According to XXL Mag, Duke states that he will be greater than Three 6 Mafia. He collaborated with Offset in some of his greatest projects. On the 7th of September, 2018, he released his “Memphis Massacre”, which featured artists such as Project Pat and Offset. He has released a lot of songs since then. 2019 was yet another great year for Duke. It is the year in which he dropped his hit single “Yeh”, whose music video was produced by Ayoza. The video managed to have a shocking 5.5 million views, in just 6 months. The other song that did wonders for him on YouTube is “ Freaky Lil Bih”, a collaboration with ATM Richbaby. The video got 24 million views. One thing is clear, with his unique rap style, and the fact that he is signed into one of the world’s best record labels, Quality Control is the best thing that could have happened to Duke Deuce.

8. His arrest and charges for DUI offense

All over the world, it’s known that drinking and driving are as much as a death wish. Duke Deuce, on the other hand, was on the other end of the law. He was arrested and charged for driving while under the influence.  According to Hip-hop DX, Duke apologized after his release and even called his actions stupid. He also discouraged his fans from drinking and driving.

9. Relationships and dating life

Not much of Duke’s personal life is known because he maintains a low-key life when it comes to his dating life. Although it is known that he is dating, the person he is in a relationship with is not known. However, he has revealed that he dated many ladies way back in high school and he even has a child from one of his past relationships. It is however not clear whether he has been supportive to this kid or not.

10. He resurrected crunk

People who grew up in the ’90s and early 2000s would relate to the Crunk music sound. However, people who grew up after these years don’t know much about this kind of music sound, and those who knew about it seemed to have forgotten. Duke is one rapper who has refused to let go of that musical sound. He has gone the extra mile of releasing a single titled “Crunk ain’t dead”.
